This is a hands-on role that offers real variety, autonomy, and the chance to mentor junior team members while continuing to grow your own expertise.Join us and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of our clients while building a rewarding career in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.What you'll be doing day to dayPrepare financial information and year-end accounts for a wide range of clients, both businesses and individualsPrepare management accounts, forecasts and projectionsPrepare personal and company tax computations and VAT returnsProvide bookkeeping services, including the recording of income and expenditure, matching transactions to bank statements and summarising expenditure typesMonitor own performance on jobs against set budgetsGather information to analyse and report on income and expenditure to support decision making, planning and controlLiaise with clients and colleagues across different departments in order to influence and achieve an effective outcomeHighlight technical or client-specific issues and recommend possible solutionsSupervise, support and coach less experienced team membersAbout youAAT / ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experienceAccounting experience in a public practice environmentExperience in using automated accounting software and computer-based accounts and tax compilation programmes; plus proficient MS Excel, Word and Outlook skillsAbility to work independently and take responsibility for managing your own and other team member workloadsAbility to be calm and efficient under pressure, and respond to client enquires promptly, accurately and efficientlyConfident, professional and team orientatedWhy work at PKF Francis ClarkAs the largest firm of independent chartered accountants and business advisers in South West England, PKF Francis Clark offers a wide range of opportunities to develop your career in the way thats right for you.Established in 1919, weve grown to nearly 1,000 people across offices in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Poole, Salisbury, Southampton, Taunton, Torquay and Truro.
