Competitive salary of £34,000 - £38,000 depending on experienceStable Monday to Friday working hours ( 7.30am - 5.00pm )Join a successful and growing independent hire businessOpportunity to take on more responsibility and play a key role within the depotHealth cash plan including virtual GP serviceEnhanced contributory workplace pension scheme28 days holiday (including bank holidays), increasing to 33 days after five years serviceCompany workwear and PPE providedFresh fruit, snacks, and drinks available at the depotOpportunity to develop your career within the hire industryAbout the Role As a Senior Hire Controller, you will be a key part of the depot operation, managing customer relationships, supporting the hire desk team, and ensuring every hire runs smoothly from enquiry through to completion.You will become a trusted point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, managing complex requirements, and working closely with internal teams to deliver an excellent service.Key Responsibilities Manage the full hire process from initial enquiry through to completionPrepare quotations, process contracts, manage extensions, off-hires, exchanges, and account queriesBuild strong relationships with key customers and provide a high level of serviceHandle more complex customer requirements and find practical solutionsWork closely with transport, workshop, and yard teams to coordinate deliveries, collections, and equipment availabilityIdentify opportunities to grow customer accounts and support repeat businessSupport colleagues and share knowledge within the hire desk teamAssist the management team with operational challenges and improvementsHelp maintain a smooth and efficient depot operationAbout You The successful candidate will have:Previous experience within a Hire Controller, Senior Hire Controller, or Hire Desk roleA background in tool hire, plant hire, access hire, equipment hire, or a similar environmentStrong knowledge of hire processes and customer account managementExcellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleaguesExperience supporting others, mentoring colleagues, or taking ownership of key tasksStrong organisation skills and the ability to manage a busy workloadA proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering solutionsConfidence using hire systems and IT platformsA positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for customer serviceTake the next step in your hire career If you are an experienced Hire Controller looking for a role where your knowledge, customer skills, and experience will be valued, we would love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
