Interaction Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Technologist to join their Safety Product Testing team based in Kettering.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established technical organisation working with a diverse range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), supporting manufacturers from around the world by ensuring products meet recognised UK and international safety standards.The Role As a Technologist, you'll play a key role in testing a wide variety of PPE products, helping to ensure they meet stringent performance and safety requirements. Full training will be provided where required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a technical career.Your responsibilities will include:Carrying out routine physical testing in line with UK, European and International standardsOperating specialist laboratory equipment to generate accurate test resultsRecording and maintaining test data in both electronic and hard copy formatsProducing clear, accurate technical reportsLiaising with customers by email, telephone and in personResponding to technical enquiries and advising customers on appropriate testing requirementsUpdating enquiries and job progress using Dynamics softwareSupporting continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratoryRepresenting the business at customer visits, webinars, exhibitions and technical events where requiredAbout You We're looking for someone who is organised, analytical and enjoys working in a technical environment.Essential Skills & Experience Excellent attention to detail and accuracyAble to work independently as well as part of a collaborative teamLogical, methodical approach to workStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent communication skillsExperience dealing with customersAdaptable with a proactive attitudeGood IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointDesirable Laboratory or testing experienceKnowledge of recognised testing standardsExperience within PPE manufacturing, including products such as high-visibility clothing, flame-resistant garments, chemical protective clothing or motorcycle apparelExperience using database systems (Dynamics would be advantageous)Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)Physics qualification or backgroundForeign language skillsWillingness or experience travelling for businessWhat's on Offer Salary up to £29,000 per annum25–30 days annual leave (depending on length of service)Life assuranceGroup personal pensionIncome protectionFlexible working hoursFree on-site parkingFull training and ongoing career developmentIf you're looking to build your career within a respected technical testing environment and enjoy working with innovative products and international customers, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today through Interaction Recruitment.INDKTTTPBN1_UKTJ
