Industrial Refrigeration Design EngineerLocation: FlexibleRole:To design and propose industrial refrigeration systems for food manufacturing facilities and logistics cold storage centres. Detailing costs and designs to customers while meeting legislative and customer-specific requirements. To create comprehensive designs from initial briefs and/or drawings, whilst adhering to the latest company and industry standards.Produce detailed design work, consisting of but not limited to: cold room and facility heat load calculations, equipment selections, pumped circulation system design, P&ID development and approvals, concept design presentations, sales stage design applications, engineering specification sheets, pipework isometric drawings, and pipe sizing for ammonia refrigeration systems.This is a remote working role, but attendance at the Leicester office will be required as will site visits, surveys, and client presentations.Main ResponsibilitiesCarry out site surveys where requiredGenerate and update enquiry bankAttend customer scoping and design meetings where requiredProduce initial outline design/scopeProduce Design File (electronic or hard copy) in line with ISO 9001 standardProduce detailed design post sales stage and convert into live project fordelivery teamConduct heat load calculations, produce engineering sheets and pipework isometric drawings, equipment selections and pipe work sizingProduce supplier/sub-contractor enquiries for quotationsProduce data for Design of Contracts project handover including: Equipment/supplier/sub[1]contractor procurement schedule, identify PED category of system and inform compliance team if CAT 4, calculate system refrigerant charge, produce high level program of works and high level phasing with support of delivery teamRaise Contract Approval Form to enable project to be booked on systemMark up drawings and issue to CAD department to produceAttend site at least once during project installation period, to carry out design reviewAssist PM during delivery phase for design queriesMaintain excellent service levels at all times, ensuring a first Class service to all customersTake on projects as and when required and see them through to successful completionFinancialProduce estimates in line with customer budgets and to agreed company marginsProduce formal scope of works and formal quotationsAssist CM with project variation design and costsAll contracts over £500k to have contract/design review with senior member of staffTo identify means of generating extra revenue through new initiatives (forward thinking)PeopleOne to one session with line manager once a quarterTo treat other colleagues, managers, customers and other stakeholders equally and with courtesy and respect at all timesWhere possible - to assist others with tasks that may be outside of the scope of your roleTo assist with coaching other colleagues/managers, for cross training purposed in your area of expertiseComplianceEnsure that all relevant company and legislative policies and best practices are adhered to and always maintainedInform the relevant Manager of non-conformances and ensure that corrective action is takenEnsure compliance with all procedures throughout within your remitProduce Design File (electronic or hard copy) in line with ISO 9001 standardTo ensure Refrigeration industry codes and standards are upheldTo comply with Integrals environmental policies and putting forward new ideas forimproving environmental efficiencies.Adhere to Group H&S procedures with due regard for business constraints and efficiencyTPBN1_UKTJ
