Manufacturing / Electronics Test Engineer (Production Environment)Guidant Global is partnering with a leading UK defence organisation to recruit a hands-on Electronics Test Engineer to support the manufacturing test and fault diagnosis of complex electrical and electronic assemblies .This is a practical, production-based role focused on diagnosing faults down to circuit card and component level , working directly with test equipment in a manufacturing environment not a desk-based design role.What youll be doingSupporting manufacturing test and diagnostics of electrical and electronic sub-systemsInvestigating failures down to circuit card and component levelUsing a wide range of manual and automated test equipmentIntroducing and supporting new test facilities, specifications and operator instructionsWorking closely with production and quality teams to maintain build schedulesContributing to defect reviews and corrective actions within a controlled defence environmentWhat were looking forEssentialHNC (or equivalent) in Electronic / Electrical EngineeringStrong hands-on experience with electronic test and fault findingGood understanding of digital and analogue measurement techniquesExperience using equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators and power suppliesComfortable producing test instructions, specifications and technical reportsDesirable (not essential)RF / Microwave exposure at sub-system levelExperience with automated test equipment (ATE)Environmental or high-voltage testing awarenessDefence or regulated manufacturing experienceSAP exposureTest equipment youll regularly useOscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, signal generatorsSpectrum analysers / VNAs (where applicable)RF measurement equipment in a controlled test environmentWhy this roleHands-on engineering real faults, real test equipmentStable, long-term defence programmesSupportive engineering teamClear processes and production support (not firefighting)What happens now?
