Specialising in both commercial and residential roofing, they provide a comprehensive range of services including flat roofing, single-ply systems, felt roofing, EPDM, GRP, slate, tile, leadwork, and new-build roofing projects.Known for their commitment to quality workmanship, technical expertise, and outstanding customer service, they work alongside developers, principal contractors, public sector organisations, and private clients on projects ranging from repairs and refurbishments to large-scale new-build developments. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Flat Roofing Estimator to join their commercial team.The RoleAs Flat Roofing Estimator, you will be responsible for:Preparing accurate estimates and competitive tenders for flat roofing projectsReviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentationProducing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plansObtaining competitive quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractorsIdentifying value engineering opportunities and commercial risksPreparing detailed pricing submissions and tender documentationLiaising with clients, surveyors, architects, and project teams throughout the tender processSupporting project handovers to the operational and commercial teamsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsAssisting with continuous improvement of estimating procedures and cost databasesThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Flat Roofing Estimator will have:Previous experience as an Estimator within the roofing or construction industryStrong knowledge of flat roofing systems , including felt, single-ply, EPDM, GRP, or liquid roofingExperience pricing commercial roofing projects would be highly advantageousStrong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detailAbility to interpret construction drawings and specificationsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsGood Microsoft Excel and IT skillsA proactive and organised approach to managing multiple tendersFull UK Driving LicenceWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £45,000 - £60,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a well-established and respected roofing contractorExposure to a wide variety of commercial and residential roofing projectsLong-term career progression within a growing businessOngoing professional development and trainingSupportive and collaborative working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
