Part-Time Playworker (Permanent Position)

\n

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated qualified Playworker to join our friendly Out of School Care team on a part-time, permanent basis.

\n

Location: Cambuslang / Rutherglen

\n

Living locally would be an advantage, although it is not essential if you are willing to travel.

\n

Hours

  • Initially offered on a zero-hours contract.
  • \n
  • A permanent contracted position may be available following a successful probation period.
  • \n
  • Approximately 10–16 hours per week will be available for the right candidate.
  • \n
\n

Salary: Competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.

\n

Essential Requirements

\n

Applicants must:

\n
    \n
  • Hold an SVQ Level 3 qualification, or
  • \n
  • Hold an SVQ Level 2 and be actively working towards SVQ Level 3.
  • \n
\n

Desirable Qualifications

\n

The following are preferred but can be completed in-house if required:

  • Current First Aid certificate
  • \n
  • Infection Control certificate
  • \n
  • Food Hygiene certificate
  • \n
\n

A good understanding of current Out of School Care guidance and best practice is also desirable, including:

  • Out to Play
  • \n
  • Playwork Principles
  • \n
  • Play Strategy
  • \n
  • GIRFEC
  • \n
  • Other relevant Scottish childcare guidance
  • \n
\n
