Software Controls Systems Engineer Location: Hampshire Package: Competitive Salary + Healthcare, Pension & Wellbeing Benefits | EV Scheme Available + Share Scheme Company: Actemium Automation Hampshire (Part of VINCI Energies) Actemium Automation Hampshire, part of VINCI Energies, is looking for a skilled Software Controls Systems Engineer to design, develop and commission PLC/SCADA/HMI solutions for clients in manufacturing, process and regulated sectors. You’ll join a supportive, wellbeing‑focused team within a global group known for safety, innovation and professional growth. What You’ll Do Develop and deliver control system software from design to handover Configure PLCs, SCADA and industrial comms networks Conduct FAT/SAT testing, commissioning and site integration Provide documentation, technical support and system updates Collaborate with clients and multi‑disciplinary teams Contribute to continuous improvement and shared standards What You’ll Bring Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell/AB, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens) SCADA/HMI development skills (Aveva System Platform) Knowledge of industrial comms (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus, OPC/UA) Strong problem‑solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and within project teams Degree in Controls/Software/Electronics or similar (preferred) Full UK driving licence Desirable Experience in regulated industries (Water, Oil & Gas) Knowledge of ISA‑88/95, GAMP, MES, Python or SQL What We Offer Competitive salary & pension Healthcare and wellbeing support EV car scheme & share opportunities Continuous training, development and progression within VINCI Energies Inclusive, people‑focused culture and varied technical projects We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates; however please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
