We are currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in East Dulwich for a DT Technician to join their Design & Technology department from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and practical individual with experience supporting DT workshops, classrooms or similar environments.

The Role:

\n
• Supporting the Design & Technology department with the preparation of materials, tools and equipment for lessons
\n
• Maintaining workshop areas to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
\n
• Carrying out routine maintenance and organisation of equipment and resources
\n
• Assisting teaching staff with practical lessons and demonstrations where required
\n
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials as needed
\n
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
\n

The Ideal Candidate:

\n
• Previous experience working as a DT Technician or in a similar practical support role
\n
• Knowledge of workshop tools, machinery and health and safety procedures
\n
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
\n
• Experience working in a school environment is desirable
\n
• A proactive and flexible approach to work
\n
