Your new companyA well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of infrastructure and highways projects in the Dudley area. With a strong order book and a reputation for delivering complex civil engineering schemes, they are looking for a proactive individual to join the team on a freelance basis.Your new roleAs Site Agent, you will work alongside the Site Manager and report directly to the Contracts Manager, taking responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of a highway and civil engineering scheme in Dudley.

  • Managing day-to-day site operations across drainage, kerbing, paving and Section 278 works
    • \n
  • Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and materials
    • \n
  • Monitoring programme performance and ensuring works are delivered on schedule
    • \n
  • Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
    • \n
  • Ensuring high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
    • \n
  • Conducting site inspections and overseeing quality control processes
    • \n
  • Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the Contracts Manager
    • \n
  • Liaising with project stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of works
    • \n
  • Supporting the Site Manager with the overall management and performance of the project
    • \n
  • Identifying and resolving site issues to minimise programme impacts and delays
    • \n

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working as a Site Agent within civil engineering or highways
    • \n
  • Strong background delivering drainage, kerbing and paving works
    • \n
  • Experience working on Section 278 schemes
    • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
    • \n
  • SMSTS
    • \n
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • \n
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
    • \n
