Senior HR Advisor

Cardiff | Full-Time | 37.5 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday | Temporary Contract (Until End of 2026)

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join a leading organisation based in Cardiff.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor, Human Resources Advisor, People Advisor, or HR Business Partner to join a well-established corporate organisation on a long-term temporary contract.

Working as part of a professional HR team, you'll provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with managers to deliver high-quality HR support, manage complex employee relations cases, and drive people-focused initiatives that improve employee engagement and organisational performance.

  Provide proactive day-to-day HR support to managers across the business, delivering practical people solutions and HR best practice.

  Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, and performance issues.

• \n

  Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with UK employment legislation.

\n
• \n

  Coordinate and deliver key HR activities, including performance management, learning and development, wellbeing initiatives, and occupational health processes.

\n
• \n

  Produce, maintain, and analyse HR reports, KPIs, and employee data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.

\n
• \n

  Support organisational change projects, restructures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

\n
• \n

  Lead and support talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing programmes.

\n
• \n

  Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders, providing trusted HR advice and guidance across the organisation.

\n
• \n

  Support HR projects and contribute to the ongoing development of HR processes and policies.

\n

• \n

  Previous experience as a Senior HR Advisor, HR Advisor, Human Resources Advisor, People Advisor, HR Business Partner, or similar generalist HR role.

\n
• \n

  Strong experience managing employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.

\n
• \n

  Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

\n
• \n

  Experience working within a corporate, professional services, public sector, or large organisational environment.

\n
• \n

  Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.

\n
• \n

  Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

\n
• \n

  Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

\n
• \n

  CIPD Level 5 qualification (or above), or working towards this, supported by relevant HR experience.

\n
• \n

  Happy to work on-site Monday to Friday, with occasional flexible home working where appropriate.

\n

  Full-time, site-based role in Cardiff.

\n
• \n

  37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

\n
• \n

  Flexible working hours between 8:00am-9:00am start and 4:00pm-5:00pm finish.

\n
• \n

  Temporary contract expected to run until the end of 2026.

\n
