Description

Finance Manager responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations, including monthly accounting close activities, accounts receivable oversight, cash flow and working capital management
  • \n
  • Lead and develop the finance function, including line management and mentoring
  • \n
  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analyses
  • \n
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and produce regular forecasts, monitoring financial performance and identifying variances, trends, and actionable insights
  • \n
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to monitor expenditure, improve financial performance, and support informed decision-making
  • \n
  • Maintain robust internal financial controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies
  • \n
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing documentation and liaising with auditors to meet all requirements
  • \n
  • Keep up to date with changes in financial legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Relevant accounting or finance qualification
  • \n
  • Experience in financial management, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of financial controls, regulatory compliance requirements, and financial reporting standards

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
