Technical Sales Manager - Portsmouth Permanent | Competitive Salary + Bonus + BenefitsAre you a commercially driven Technical Sales professional with a strong background in tooling, injection moulding or precision engineering? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business and play a key role in driving growth across the automotive and aerospace sectors.The Opportunity:As a Technical Sales Manager, you'll be at the forefront of winning and delivering high-value tooling projects. Acting as the bridge between customers and in-house engineering teams, you'll manage the full sales lifecycle from initial enquiry and technical consultation through to final delivery.This is a varied and dynamic role combining account management, new business development, and technical estimating.Key Responsibilities:Grow and manage existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunitiesRespond to RFQs and convert enquiries into profitable salesDevelop relationships with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers across aerospace and automotiveLead technical discussions around mould tooling, jigs, and fixturesManage costing, estimating, and quotation activities (a key part of the role)Work closely with engineering teams to deliver accurate and competitive proposalsSupport Design for Manufacture (DFM) reviews and project deliveryMaintain and manage a strong sales pipeline through CRM systemsRepresent the business at customer meetings, site visits, and industry eventsWhat We're Looking For:Strong technical knowledge of injection mould tooling, CNC machining, and toolroom processesAbility to interpret engineering drawings and CAD dataProven experience in technical sales or business development within engineering/manufacturingCommercially astute with a track record of winning new businessConfident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levelsHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience within automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering sectors is highly desirableWhy Apply?Opportunity to work on complex, high-value engineering projectsA role with real autonomy and the ability to make a commercial impactJoin a collaborative environment with strong in-house engineering capabilityClear opportunity to grow revenue and influence business strategyAdditional InfoFull UK driving licence requiredRegular UK travel and occasional overnight stays expectedIf you're a technically strong sales professional looking to take ownership of a growing market and work on cutting-edge tooling projects, we'd love to hear from you.Apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
