An established and growing Wealth Management business is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their career within a professional and client-focused financial planning environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Financial Advisers by preparing suitability reports, processing new and existing business, and delivering high-quality technical support across a range of financial planning areas, including investments, pensions, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.

\n

This role would suit someone who is working towards, or has already achieved, the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and possesses strong technical knowledge alongside excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Prepare high-quality suitability reports and recommendation documents.
  • \n
  • Process new and existing client business accurately and efficiently.
  • \n
  • Support Financial Advisers with technical research and administrative activities.
  • \n
  • Maintain and update client records and case management systems.
  • \n
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with FCA regulations, internal policies, and industry best practice.
  • \n
  • Conduct product and provider research where required.
  • \n
  • Liaise with clients, product providers, and other professional contacts.
  • \n
  • Utilise cashflow modelling tools to support financial planning recommendations.
  • \n
  • Prepare documentation for annual reviews and ongoing servicing requirements.
  • \n
  • Assist with pensions, investments, trusts, inheritance tax planning, protection, and other financial planning matters.
  • \n
  • Support compliance requirements, including anti-money laundering procedures.
  • \n
  • Contribute to project work and business improvement initiatives as required.
  • \n
  • Always act in the best interests of clients and uphold the highest professional standards.
  • \n

Candidate Requirements

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience within a Paraplanning or Financial Planning support role.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of pensions, investments, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • \n
  • Professional, confident, and client-focused approach.
  • \n

Desirable

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or actively working towards qualification.
  • \n
  • Experience with cashflow modelling software.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of protection and equity release products.
  • \n
  • Experience using financial planning and back-office systems.
  • \n
