Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Manager for a successful manufacturing business in Lincoln. In this role you will leading the day-to-day finance function of a growing business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing commercial financial insight to support business performance.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in an SME environment and is confident managing the full finance cycle while driving continuous improvement.Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly management accounts process, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
  • \n
  • Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, journals and financial controls
  • \n
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial models to support business planning
  • \n
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital and funding requirements
  • \n
  • Coordinate payroll, PAYE, pensions, VAT and tax compliance
  • \n
  • Manage year-end accounts, statutory reporting and external auditors
  • \n
  • Liaise with external accountants, HMRC, banks and other key stakeholders
  • \n
  • Analyse profitability and provide commercial recommendations to senior management
  • \n
  • Improve finance systems, reporting and internal processes
  • \n

You'll be an experienced Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge and a commercial mindset.

You'll ideally have:

\n
    \n
  • Experience managing the finance function within an SME
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT and payroll
  • \n
  • Experience producing management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • \n
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • \n
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero
  • \n
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA or qualified by experience
  • \n
