When a child enters a crisis setting, their world has been turned upside down. They do not need a supervisor; they need a steady anchor.
\nWe are seeking experienced Support Workers and Seniors to join our specialist crisis response teams across Launceston, Bude, and the northern moors. This is not about watching a shift go by. It is about stepping into a high pressure environment, understanding the trauma behind the behaviour, and bringing safety, structure, and a little bit of warmth back into a young person's day.
\nThis role is a perfect fit for applicants who have previously worked as a Youth Worker, Support Worker, Therapeutic Support Worker, Family Support Worker, Residential Childcare Worker, or Youth Mentor and Key Worker.
How you will make a difference\n- \n
- Build Trust: Engage with vulnerable children using creative, trauma informed methods. \n
- Provide Safety: Utilise your de escalation skills to handle challenging behaviours, aggression, or self harm with patience and composure. \n
- Be the Advocate: Provide accurate daily reports that directly shape the long term therapeutic care plans for these young people. \n
- \n
- Experience: At least 6 months of paid UK care experience, ideally as a children's residential support worker, support worker, or in other residential or crisis settings. \n
- Resilience: A calm, resilient, and non judgemental approach to complex behaviours. \n
- Mobility: A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle to support community activities across Cornwall. \n
