The Role\n

The successful Senior Residential Support Worker will be responsible for supporting children and young people in all aspects of their daily lives, promoting positive behaviour, independence and emotional wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • \n
  • Acting as a positive role model and mentor
  • \n
  • Building effective relationships with young people, families and professionals
  • \n
  • Supporting education, health appointments and recreational activities
  • \n
  • Completing daily records, reports and care documentation
  • \n
  • Contributing to care planning and risk assessments
  • \n
  • Supporting colleagues and helping maintain high standards within the home
  • \n
  • Promoting positive outcomes and achieving placement objectives
  • \n
Requirements\n

To be considered for this Senior Residential Support Worker opportunity, applicants should have:

  • Previous experience within a Children's Residential Care setting
  • \n
  • Experience supporting young people with EBD
  • \n
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding practices
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • \n
  • A positive and resilient approach
  • \n
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (preferred but not essential)
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • \n
