Electrician | Belfast & Northern Ireland | Full Time | Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm | PAYE or Subcontract | £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (DOE)Founded in 2008, our client has grown into a trusted national provider of electrical compliance and project delivery services.They began as a specialist compliance contractor and have since developed long-standing partnerships with some of the UKs largest housing associations, NHS Trusts, and educational institutions.The RoleAs an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, rewires, repairs, board changes, and EICR testing within customer properties. You will ensure all work is completed in line with BS7671 requirements while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesSurvey sites where electrical systems are installedCarry out periodic inspections of clients' electrical installations in accordance with the current edition of BS7671Produce Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) via EasyCert (or other software) to meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies (e.g. NICEIC)Perform electrical tests and inspections and produce the appropriate documentation in accordance with the current edition of BS7671Identify electrical problems and carry out remedial works as part of inspections where appropriateCarry out rewires, board changes, installations, general repair work and produce EICR certificates as requiredAdhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all timesKeep up to date with changes and amendments to standards, regulations and best practices within the electrical industryAttend toolbox meetings as requiredMaintain acceptable stock levelsSupport, coach and train apprentices as requiredWork with the Operations, Technical, Project and Contract teams to deliver contracts within set timescalesAchieve personal and team KPIs, ensuring completed jobs meet business and client expectationsPromote all aspects of Health & Safety to ensure compliance with legislation and company proceduresContinually seek opportunities to enhance client relationships and service provisionWhat Were Looking forFully qualified ElectricianLevel 3 Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent)Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (2330 or equivalent)18th Edition qualificationValid ECS CardAsbestos Awareness training completed within the last six monthsMinimum of one year's experience within social housing, carrying out installations, repairs, inspection and testing, and emergency lighting workStrong knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations and the current edition of BS7671Good understanding of electrical inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting proceduresGood IT skills, including Microsoft Office and tablet-based softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood understanding of Health & Safety legislationFull UK driving licenceOwn tools (tester can be supplied for PAYE employees if required)DesirablePrevious experience working within a social housing environmentExperience carrying out installations, repairs, inspection and testing, and emergency lighting testing and installationExperience using EasyCert software for EICRsWhats In It For You£38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualificationsFull-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekPosition available on a PAYE or Subcontract basisFully field-based role covering Northern IrelandCompany vehicle provided (vehicles currently on order)Vehicle allowance available until company vehicle is availableMileage paid at 30p per mile if using your own vehicleVehicle allowance of £3,500 per year pro rata22 days holidayCompany pensionEmployee Assistance ProgrammeProgression opportunitiesReferral schemeParking coveredTools can be provided where requiredTester supplied for PAYE employees if requiredAsbestos Awareness training provided before starting via online onboardingWorking at Heights and Manual Handling training providedCandidates with recently expired ECS cards or Asbestos Awareness certificates will be considered and supported with renewalWhats next?
