Driver and Warehouse Operative (Forklift Licence Essential)

£13.50 per hour | Full Time | PermanentWe're looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our busy transport and warehouse team.This is a varied, hands-on role that combines local deliveries and collections with warehouse duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active and doesn't want to be sat behind a desk.The successful candidate will spend the day delivering and collecting pallets and parcels before returning to the depot to support our warehouse operation until the end of the shift.Working Hours Monday to Friday: 10:00am 7:15pmOne Saturday per month: 8:00am 12:00pmPay: £13.50 per hourThe Role Your responsibilities will include:Loading your vehicle ready for deliveries.Delivering pallets and parcels to customers.Collecting pallets and parcels from customers.Driving a larger van, including Luton body vehicles.Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.Operating a forklift to load and unload vehicles.Loading, unloading and sorting pallets and parcels.Assisting with goods in and goods out.General warehouse duties, ensuring the warehouse remains clean, safe and organised.Working efficiently as part of a busy transport and warehouse team.Essential Requirements A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.A full UK Driving Licence.Confident driving larger vans, including Luton body vehicles.Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling throughout the day.Previous experience in a warehouse environment.Excellent timekeeping and reliability.Good communication skills.Own transport to travel to and from work, as our depot is not accessible by public transport.About You We're looking for someone who is:Hardworking and dependable.Friendly and professional with customers and colleagues.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Organised with good attention to detail.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Willing to get stuck in and help wherever needed.What We Offer £13.50 per hour.Full-time, permanent role.Monday to Friday working with only one Saturday morning per month.A varied role where no two days are the same.Friendly and supportive working environment.Company pension.Holiday entitlement.On-site parking.If you're an experienced driver with a valid forklift licence, enjoy physical work and are looking for a varied role within a busy transport company, we'd love to hear from you.Please apply with your CV.
