We are committed to creating a culture where people can learn, grow and thrive, enabling us to deliver excellent service to our customers and communities across our Food and Funeral businesses.We are now looking for a passionate and engaging Learning and Development Trainer to join our Learning & Development team.The roleThis is a hands-on and varied role where you will design, deliver and embed high-quality training across our Food stores, Funeral homes and Support Centre. You'll play a key part in ensuring colleagues have the skills, confidence and knowledge to perform at their best. You will deliver a blend of face-to-face workshops, virtual training and digital learning, while supporting the development and ongoing use of our Learning Management System (LMS).Key responsibilities Design and deliver engaging training workshops across the Society using face-to-face, virtual and blended learning methodsCreate inspiring digital learning content and interactive eLearning modules within the LMSSupport the maintenance, administration and effective use of the LMS, providing guidance to colleaguesAdapt learning content to suit diverse operational teams and busy customer-focused environmentsEvaluate training effectiveness using feedback and data, continuously improving learning solutionsSupport the delivery of the annual training plan aligned to operational and business needsWork collaboratively with managers and subject matter experts to ensure training is practical and relevantEnsure training materials reflect current operational practice and regulatory requirementsPromote a positive learning culture and encourage continuous development and internal progressionMaintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirementsAbout youWe're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about developing people and confident delivering training in fast-paced operational environments.Essential: Level 3 AET / PTLLS qualificationMinimum 3 years' experience in a Learning & Development or training roleMinimum 1 years' experience of working in a fast-paced retail convenience and/or food service environment; including the design and delivery of appropriate learning solutions for customer-facing colleaguesExperience designing and developing digital learning contentLMS experience including content creation and administrationStrong facilitation, presentation and communication skillsExcellent organisation and planning skillsAbility to analyse learning feedback and data to improve training effectivenessDesirable: CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) in Learning & DevelopmentILM Coaching qualificationExperience within a retail or customer-focused environmentWhat you'll bring An engaging and practical approach to training deliveryA customer-focused mindsetEnthusiasm, adaptability and a collaborative approachA genuine passion for learning and developmentWhy join us?This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by shaping learning across a diverse and community-focused organisation.
