Operations Manager

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Solar Operations Manager to support the delivery, performance and day-to-day management of their operations team.This is a key role for someone with a strong background in operations management, within renewable energy, solar PV, HV electrical, or wider electrical infrastructure.The RoleThe Solar Operations Manager will oversee the successful delivery of solar PV projects and operational activity across multiple sites. You will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing subcontractors, supporting project delivery, ensuring compliance, implement systems and maintaining high standards across health, safety, quality and commercial performance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operational delivery across solar PV projectsCoordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholdersSupport project planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and handoverMonitor project progress, risks, milestones and critical pathsEnsure works are delivered safely, on time and within budgetReview subcontractor quotations, purchase orders and project variationsSupport DNO applications and grid connection processes, including G98/G99Ensure compliance with planning, building control, MCS and BS 7671 requirementsLead site meetings, client progress meetings and operational reviewsMaintain strong client relationships and manage expectations professionallyEnsure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015Review RAMS and support site inspections, audits and practical completionsReport operational and financial performance to senior managementRequirementsProven background in operations managementExperience within renewable energy, solar PV, HV electrical, or electrical infrastructureStrong understanding of UK commercial solar PV projectsExperience managing subcontractors, site teams and multi-site operationsGood understanding of DNO processes and grid connections, including G98/G99Strong commercial awareness and cost control experienceConfident using Excel, MS Project or other project management toolsFull UK driving licenceDesirableSMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSHElectrical background, with hands on electrical qualifications advantagiousExperience with battery storage or EV charging projectsDegree or technical qualification in engineering, construction management or a related fieldPackage£50,000 - £70,000 depending on experienceCar allowance or company vehicleMainly office based working with site travelImmediate start availableOpportunity to join a growing renewable energy business with a strong project pipelineThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager from a renewable energy or HV electrical background to step into a key role with real influence over delivery, process and team performance.TPBN1_UKTJ
