\nOur exclusive client NMB Minebea UK, part of a global manufacturing group with operations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, is renowned for precision engineering and the production of mission-critical components.
\nThis Quality Control Manager role is based in Lincoln. You will lead the Quality Control department (30+ engineers and inspectors), ensuring high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement while embedding a culture of world-class manufacturing and aerospace regulatory compliance across the site.
\nAs the Quality Control Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Demonstrating strong leadership to organise the Quality Control function, set clear expectations, and ensure every area understands its role in quality assurance, quality control, and compliance deliverables \n
- Performing training gap analysis across all quality functions and establishing clear strategies to upskill the team \n
- Maintaining a hands-on, visible presence on the shop floor and across the business \n
- Ensuring full company compliance with aerospace QMS procedures (ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, etc.) \n
- Supporting inspectors in driving best-practice inspection methods \n
- Leading root-cause analysis investigations using proven problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why \n
- Ensuring compliance with First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102 \n
- Overseeing company-wide environmental compliance procedures to ISO 14001 \n
- Driving reduction of non-conformances, timely resolution of manufacturing/production issues, and effective continuous improvement through regular reporting on NCRs, KPIs, customer issues, shop-floor deviations/concessions, and supplier performance \n
As the Quality Control Manager you will bring:
\nEssential
\n- \n
- Apprenticeship, HNC/D (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline \n
- Strong leadership capability with a proven track record of improving team performance \n
- Background in quality assurance and quality control within a highly regulated environment \n
- Ability to lead a large quality function \n
- Demonstrable experience resolving manufacturing issues using 8D, 5 Why, and similar methodologies \n
- Hands-on approach to leadership with a willingness to be visible across all areas \n
- Very strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) \n
- Inspection and metrology experience \n
- Competent in all Microsoft packages with strong overall IT skills \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Degree in an engineering discipline \n
- Aerospace manufacturing environment experience \n
- Experience with aerospace standards such as AS9100, AS9102, NADCAP, etc. \n
- Knowledge of aerospace regulatory compliance (CAA, EASA, FAA) \n
- Knowledge of machining processes and non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures \n
