Civil Engineer Birmingham £45,000 - £55,000 An established civil engineering firm based in Birmingham is looking to appoint an experienced Civil Engineer to join their growing team, with a strong focus on drainage, highways, and residential development projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven engineer to work on a varied portfolio of projects, from initial design through to delivery, within a business that has built a strong reputation for technical quality and client relationships across the region. The Role: Producing and reviewing civil engineering designs, drawings, and calculations across drainage, highways, and residential schemes Designing SuDS and foul/surface water drainage strategies in line with current standards Producing highways design in support of residential and mixed-use developments, including adoptable roads Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification Providing technical input across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility through to construction Liaising with local authorities, water authorities, and statutory bodies where requiredWhat's Required: A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Proven experience in a similar civil engineering role, with a focus on drainage, highways, and residential projects Strong working knowledge of relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civils 3D, MicroDrainage/Causeway Flow) and UK design standards (e.g. Sewers for Adoption, DMRB) Chartered status (or working towards) would be an advantage Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesTo find out more or to apply, please get in touch with Callum Jones at
