Frontend Developer - React / Next.js

London / Hybrid

£300 per day | Outside IR35

3–6 month contract

Standard 8 are working with a client looking for a hands-on Frontend Developer to join a project focused on improving and extending a suite of internal web applications.

The core of the work is React, Next.js and TypeScript, building clean, reusable components and delivering interfaces that are responsive, accessible and maintainable.

They need someone who can get into an existing codebase, understand how it works and start contributing without needing weeks of hand-holding.

The main stack is React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

You should also be comfortable working with modern styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS, consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs, and writing automated frontend tests using tools such as React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright.

You’ll be expected to work within Git-based development and CI/CD processes, contribute to code reviews and take ownership of the quality and performance of what you ship.
