Job Description
Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established school in Southport to recruit an experienced School Administrator for a full-time temporary ongoing assignment starting on 1st September 2026.This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator who has previous experience working within a school environment and is confident using SIMS or Arbor. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office and will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors.Your new role

- Managing front-of-house reception duties and welcoming visitors to the school \n
- Handling incoming telephone calls, emails and enquiries professionally \n
- Maintaining accurate pupil records \n
- Supporting attendance administration and reporting \n
- Processing admissions, leavers and pupil data updates \n
- Producing letters, reports and general correspondence \n
- Providing administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff \n
- Managing school mail, filing and document management systems \n
- Assisting with safeguarding and compliance-related administration \n
- Supporting the wider school office team with general administrative duties \n
What you'll need to succeed
\n- \n
- Previous experience working in a school administration role \n
- Strong working knowledge of SIMS or Arbor (essential) \n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills \n
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal \n
- A professional and friendly approach when dealing with parents, staff and visitors \n
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications \n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team \n
- Availability to start on 1st September 2026 \n
