A highly regarded legal team in the Highlands is looking to appoint a Family Solicitor (NQ–4 PQE) to join its expanding practice in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad mix of family law matters, working closely with experienced colleagues while building your own profile within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

You’ll work with a diverse client base, handling everything from high-value financial cases to sensitive family matters, with a real focus on providing practical, clear and empathetic advice.

The role

You’ll advise clients across a full spectrum of family law matters, including:

\n
• Financial provision on separation and divorce
\n
• Child-related matters such as residence, contact and relocation
\n
• More complex cases including cross-border disputes, adoption and surrogacy
\n
• Supporting cases through the Sheriff Court process
\n
• Preparing case documentation, evidence and witness statements
\n
• Attending client meetings and court hearings
\n
• Contributing to client updates, legal insights and team initiatives
\n

About you

This role would suit a Family Solicitor who:

• Has NQ–4 years’ PQE in family law
\n
• Enjoys working directly with clients and providing practical guidance
\n
• Is organised and able to manage competing deadlines
\n
• Communicates clearly and professionally
\n
• Works well as part of a close-knit and collaborative team
\n
• Is keen to continue developing technical knowledge and expertise
\n
