Learning & Development Advisor
Job Description
Learning & Development Advisor
\nRenfrewshire
\nFull Time, On Site
\nPermanent
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced L&D Advisor who's ready to take on more responsibility and step into a role with real ownership. You'll be the driving force behind L&D in the business, working closely with senior stakeholders and operational leaders to deliver against a major transformation agenda, with genuine scope to shape how the function develops and to grow your own capability as the role grows with you.
\nWhat makes this role different?
\n- \n
- Significant investment into learning and capability \n
- Major transformation agenda already underway, you'll be building it, not just maintaining it \n
- Direct exposure to the HR leadership team and real visibility for your work \n
- New HR and LMS systems being implemented, giving you hands-on experience shaping L&D infrastructure \n
- Genuine autonomy \n
- Real opportunity to grow into a more senior L&D role as your impact builds \n
Key focus areas
\n- \n
- Supporting the delivery of leadership and management development programmes \n
- Helping refresh performance and development frameworks \n
- Assisting with the build-out of technical and behavioural competency pathways \n
- Coordinating apprenticeship and early careers initiatives \n
- Getting involved in engagement and cultural improvement activity \n
- Helping embed modern learning approaches across the organisation, including supporting the LMS rollout \n
About you
\n- \n
- You'll have solid experience as an L&D Advisor (or similar), ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering or operational environment \n
- You're someone who's comfortable taking ownership and getting stuck into the detail, happy doing the groundwork that makes a bigger strategy actually work, without needing someone looking over your shoulder \n
- You've got ambition - this role is a genuine stepping stone, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow into a more senior L&D role in time \n
- Good stakeholder skills, with the confidence to build relationships across both operational teams and senior leadership \n
- Public sector and heavily corporate backgrounds are unlikely to align with the realities of this workforce \n
If you're an experienced L&D Advisor looking for a role with real ownership and scope to grow, this could be exactly the next step you're looking for.
