Court of Protection Solicitor

Court of Protection Paralegal – Bristol

This position is to work at an established Legal 500 Law firm assisting 2 Partners on a range of Court of Protection matters covering both sides but mainly property & finance with some health and welfare. This position can suit someone junior with experience or a fee-earner used to managing their own caseload.

The key responsibilities:

\n
• Preparing and submitting applications to the Court of Protection
\n
• Managing high-value deputyships and private trust matters
\n
• Liaising with professionals (Case Managers, Doctors, Therapists, Surveyors, Financial Advisors and Legal Experts)
\n
• Budget control & financial monitoring to ensure clients’ best interests are protected
\n
• Assisting with property purchases and adaptations for vulnerable clients
\n
• Drafting personal injury trusts and legal documents
\n

About you:

\n
• Experience in court of protection, private client or related legal areas such as clinical negligence or personal injury
\n
• Previous time recording experience, case management system is LEAP
\n
• Quick learner, strong communication skills and dynamic personality traits
\n
