World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage is currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer. • As a Manufacturing Engineer within the unit & missile assembly manufacturing facility your focus will be to ensure that our products are built efficiently and to budget. A key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will carry out activities in support of multi-project manufacturing.
\n
• Compilation and update of Manufacturing Instructions.
\n
• Design, Commissioning and proving of associated tooling.
\n
• Support the industrial validation process through the use of FMEA’s, FAI’s etc.
\n
• Resolution of technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process.
\n
• Route card changes as a result or rework activities.
\n
• Management of Configuration Control by the embodiment of Design Modifications into the Manufacturing Instructions.
\n
• Support to the Non Conformance Process using SAP.
\n

• Have the ability to interpret Design Drawings with a view to producing Manufacturing Build Instructions for both Skilled and Semi-Skilled operators.
\n
• Have experience of Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds.
\n
• Have experience and knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems.
\n
• Must be able to work within and contribute to a team environment.
\n
• Recognise and understand customer requirements, and respond to them.
\n

Qualifications Required: \n

\n
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
\n

AND\n

\n
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 4 academic qualification (HNC, diploma, etc.)
\n

AND\n

\n
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved
\n

ORDegree in a relevant Engineering subject.
