General Operative - Runcorn, Cheshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a number of General Operatives to join our well-established client based in Runcorn, Cheshire.

This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an Assembly Operative, Factory Operative, or Production Operative.

Rates of Pay:

• £14.00 per hour basic
\n

Shift Pattern:

\n
• Monday to Friday
\n
• 08:00 - 16:00
\n
• Overnight stays may be required
\n

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a General Operative, you will work:

\n
• Setting up and running machines such as band saws
\n
• Using hand tools, including drills and band saws
\n
• Assembling parts using tools or machinery
\n
• Working away on site when required
\n
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times
\n

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a General Operative, you will need:

\n
• Confidence using hand tools
\n
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n
• Comfortable working in a manual workshop environment
\n
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes
\n

Desirable Experience:

\n
• Full UK driving licence would be advantageous
\n
• Counterbalance FLT licence would be advantageous
\n

Training:

\n
• Full on-site training provided
\n
• Ongoing development and upskilling opportunities throughout your assignment
