Location: Rochdale (OL16)

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00 or 09:00–17:30 (37.5 hours per week)

Mpeople Recruitment are currently recruiting for a B2B Credit Controller / Recoveries Executive on behalf of our well-established client based in Rochdale.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller, Collections Advisor, Debt Recovery Specialist, Recoveries Executive, or Claims Handler who has experience managing customer accounts and successfully recovering outstanding payments from businesses.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of up to 300 claims, working with insurers, solicitors, and other third parties to recover outstanding costs and resolve disputes.

About the company

Our client is a leading provider of credit hire and vehicle repair services, supporting customers involved in non-fault road traffic accidents. They manage the complete accident management process, including vehicle hire, repairs, claims handling, and recovery of associated costs from responsible insurers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 300 B2B recovery claims
\n
• Recover outstanding payments from insurers, solicitors, businesses, and third parties
\n
• Manage credit hire, vehicle repair, storage, recovery, and uninsured loss claims
\n
• Contact businesses and third parties to negotiate successful payment outcomes
\n
• Investigate and resolve liability, quantum, and payment disputes
\n
• Liaise with insurers, solicitors, clients, and external stakeholders
\n
• Process payments, correspondence, and telephone enquiries
\n
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
\n
• Progress claims efficiently to achieve recovery targets
\n

Skills and Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n
• Previous experience in B2B credit control, commercial collections, debt recovery, accounts receivable, recoveries, or claims handling
\n
• Proven experience recovering outstanding payments from businesses
\n
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve positive outcomes
\n
• Excellent telephone communication and relationship-building skills
\n
• The ability to manage a large caseload and prioritise workloads effectively
\n
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
\n
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
\n

Experience within credit hire, motor claims, accident management, ABI GTA, or insurance claims would be advantageous, although full training can be provided for candidates with strong credit control or collections experience.
