A global engineering and environmental consultancy is looking to recruit a Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join its growing Nottingham team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or engineer with up to three years' experience to develop their career within a supportive and technically strong consultancy, working on a wide range of ground investigation and contaminated land projects across the UK.

The role offers a varied split between site and office work, providing the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while developing technical reporting skills under the guidance of experienced geoenvironmental engineers and engineering geologists.

The Role:

    \n
  • Supervising and undertaking ground investigations.
  • \n
  • Soil and rock logging to current industry standards.
  • \n
  • Groundwater and ground gas monitoring and sampling.
  • \n
  • Environmental sampling and contaminated land investigations.
  • \n
  • Factual report writing and assisting with interpretative reports.
  • \n
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and drilling contractors.
  • \n
  • Supporting the delivery of geoenvironmental and geotechnical projects from start to finish.
  • \n

Requirements:

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
  • \n
  • Up to three years' experience within a geoenvironmental, geotechnical or ground investigation role.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of ground investigation techniques and logging.
  • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • \n
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • \n
