Senior Production Manager – Food Manufacturing

\n\nAre you a Production leader from a Food Manufacturing background and want to progress into a high-impact role where you can hold ultimate production responsibility and work directly with the owners at an iconic business?
\n\nThis historical and family-owned food manufacturer specialises in the production of traditional bakery products that are supplied to major retailers across the UK including Tesco & Waitrose. They produce almost a million units weekly and have plans to continue expanding over the coming years.
\n\nIn this role you will hold overall responsibility for production, overseeing about 40 staff across several lines to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products in compliance with food safety & regulatory standards while also identifying opportunities and implementing projects to improve the business.
\n\nThe ideal candidate will have 8+ years’ production management experience in Food Manufacturing along with demonstrable experience in Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing projects e.g waste reduction, OOE, TPM, yield improvement etc.
\n\nThis is the perfect role for someone who would prefer to make a larger and more visible impact in a smaller and more relaxed business rather than being a ‘cog in the wheel’ at a larger corporation.

\n\nDay-to-day of the role:
\n- \n
- Leading and coordinating end-to-end production and packaging operations to meet quality & output targets \n
- Planning & delivering production schedules in line with demand, resource and maintenance requirements \n
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen performance \n
- Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene and H&S standards \n
The ideal person will have:

- 8+ years’ experience in Production or Manufacturing leadership in the Food Manufacturing sector \n
- A solid understanding of food safety standards, audits and compliance frameworks \n
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, develop and motivate teams \n
- A results-driven mentality and a focus on efficiency, quality and continuous improvement \n
- Experience in the Bakery sector is advantageous \n
