Finance Officer

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be AAT Level 3 or Level 4 qualified (or have equivalent practical experience) and be confident working independently while supporting the Finance Director.

• High-volume bank reconciliations
\n
• Preparation and maintenance of trial balance
\n
• Assisting with monthly management reporting
\n
• Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts
\n
• Audit preparation and liaison with external auditors
\n
• Financial analysis and reporting
\n
• Experience of cash flow forecasting and management
\n
• Processing day-to-day accounting transactions
\n
• Working closely with the Finance Director/Finance Controller to support the smooth running of the finance function
\n

• AAT Level 3 or Level 4 qualification, or equivalent work experience
\n
• Previous experience in a similar accounts role
\n
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
\n
• Experience preparing for audits and statutory accounts
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and manage workload effectively
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
\n
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
\n
• Sage and Xero required
