Michael Page is delighted to partner with our client to recruit a highly commercial Finance Business Partner position. As Finance Business Partner, you'll provide dedicated commercial and financial support across a portfolio of contracts in Scotland.

\nOur client is a UK Wide market leading business with key locations across Glasgow and the central belt. This will be a hybrid role with the opportunity to travel to sites.
\nDescription
\nThe successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Partnering with operational and contract leaders to provide commercial and financial insight that supports strategic decision-making. \n
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities across your portfolio. \n
- Providing robust financial analysis, scenario modelling and performance reporting. \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs and optimise contract performance. \n
- Supporting commercial negotiations including contract variations, extensions and change notices. \n
- Monitoring financial and commercial risks and driving mitigation plans. \n
- Working closely with our Finance Hub to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. \n
- Using digital tools, technology and data analytics to improve financial decision-making. \n
- Presenting complex financial information in a clear and engaging way for a range of stakeholders. \n
- Building strong relationships across operational, commercial and finance teams to influence positive outcomes. \n
Profile
\nThe successful candidate will likely have the following profile:
\n- \n
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). \n
- Membership of a relevant professional body (where applicable). \n
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders in a complex commercial environment. \n
- Strong commercial acumen with experience analysing both financial and operational performance drivers. \n
- Experience within contract-based, outsourced services or bidding environments. \n
- Excellent financial planning, budgeting and forecasting experience. \n
- The ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with senior stakeholders. \n
- Strong analytical skills with confidence interpreting incomplete or ambiguous information. \n
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insight. \n
- A proactive, resilient and collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement. \n
