With strong backing from the leadership team, HR is on a transformation journey, moving from reactive and administrative to proactive and value-driven.This role has been created to provide critical support during a period of change and growth, while also laying the foundations for a more structured and scalable HR function.Key ResponsibilitiesDrawing on insights from the current HR lead, your role will include:Policy & Process DevelopmentReview, create and implement HR policies and proceduresConsolidate and refine existing documentation into clear, practical frameworksSupport the development of consistent, scalable HR processesOperational HR SupportManage day-to-day HR queries and provide timely, accurate adviceSupport employee lifecycle activities including contracts, changes to terms, and documentationEnsure accuracy and integrity of HR data and systemsStakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with line managers across the businessCoach and guide managers who may have limited people management experienceAct as a trusted advisor, helping managers navigate people challengesRecruitment Support & CoordinationDrive recruitment processes to conclusion, ensuring pace and efficiencySupport hiring managers with best practice and structureTrack and manage recruitment activity to ensure visibility and accountabilityTraining & Development SupportAssist in delivering internal training sessions (e.g. investigations, return-to-work processes)Contribute to building management capability across the organisationOpportunity to gain exposure to L&D initiativesContinuous ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies and proactively suggest improvementsSupport the implementation of systems, metrics, and reportingHelp embed a more proactive, solutions-focused HR approachGeneralist HR & Employee RelationsProvide support on ER matters with guidance from the HR leadEnsure compliance with employment legislation and internal standardsMaintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalismWhat We Are Looking ForPrevious experience in a HR Advisor / Officer level roleStrong practical HR knowledge across generalist activitiesAbility to work at pace and manage multiple prioritiesConfident decision-maker who can use initiative and 'read the room'Excellent organisational skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholdersComfortable working in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous environmentGood IT and systems capability (essential for improving processes and documentation)CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable but not essentialThe EnvironmentThis is a business at the cutting edge of its field, with a strong focus on innovation and future growth.
