Principal Planning Officer

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire (DN1) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm Contract: Until 1 February 2027 Pay Rate: £38.13 £41.92 per hour + holiday payWe're recruiting for an experienced Principal Planning Officer to join a busy local authority planning team.This role involves managing a caseload of major planning applications, providing specialist planning advice, engaging with developers, contributing to planning policy, supporting enforcement, and representing the Council where required.### Essential RequirementsRTPI-accredited planning qualification (or equivalent)Full RTPI membership (or working towards it)Significant Local Authority planning experienceExperience dealing with major planning applicationsExcellent report writing, negotiation and communication skillsAbility to manage a varied caseload independently### Compliance Requirements2 years' referencing (all employment gaps verified) Photographic ID Right to Work in the UK Full employment history/CV with all gaps accounted forTPBN1_UKTJ
