Water Treatment Engineer FM Service Provider Central London £48,000 + OvertimeExciting opportunity to join a leading FM Service Provider as a Water Treatment Engineer, based at a prestigious commercial high-rise building in Central London. CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced engineer to take ownership of all water treatment, water hygiene and closed loop systems across the site covering cooling towers, domestic hot & cold water systems, and heating & chilled water systems. This is a critical compliance-focused role in a landmark building, offering stability, no call out, and genuine room to grow, develop and progress.Package & Working Hours £48,000 per annum + overtimeMonday to Friday, 08:00 17:00No call out25 days holiday + bank holidaysOngoing training & renewals paid forCompany pension & standard company benefitsRoom to grow, develop and progressKey Responsibilities Cooling Towers & Evaporative Cooling SystemsManage and monitor all cooling towers and evaporative cooling equipmentEnsure full compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 Part 1 and site-specific Water Management PlansConduct routine inspections, sampling, dip slides and performance monitoringOversee cleaning, disinfection and shutdown/start-up proceduresManage specialist water treatment contractors and maintain all statutory recordsSupport Legionella risk assessment reviews and corrective actionsHot & Cold Water SystemsManage domestic water systems throughout the buildingComplete statutory temperature monitoring regimesInspect calorifiers, storage tanks, expansion vessels and associated assetsCarry out flushing programmes in low-use areasReview microbiological and chemical sampling resultsDisinfection and chlorination of mains water and hot & cold water systemsKeep asset records, schematics and compliance documentation up to dateClosed Loop SystemsResponsible for multiple secondary and tertiary systems: chilled water, heating hot water (LTHW), condenser water, and pressurisation/expansion systemsWater quality monitoring, sampling and analysisCorrosion, scale and microbiological controlChemical dosing management and inhibitor level reviewsSide stream filtration monitoringCoordination of flushing and commissioning activitiesIdentify system inefficiencies and energy-saving opportunitiesCompliance & GeneralAct as the site's Responsible Person (Water) where requiredEnsure compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 Parts 1 & 2, COSHH and Water Fittings RegulationsProduce monthly compliance and performance reports; support client, insurer and regulatory auditsBasic plumbing repairing pipework, leaks and small jobs such as dead leg removalRequirements Minimum 5 years' experience within a large commercial building or estateProven experience managing cooling towers and evaporative cooling systemsStrong understanding of domestic water compliance programmesExperience with closed loop heating and chilled water treatmentExperience working with water treatment specialists and laboratories, and interpreting chemical & microbiological analysis reportsDemonstrable knowledge of Legionella control requirements and relevant legislationQualificationsLegionella Responsible Person (C&G Accredited) HSG274 Part 2C&G Legionella Control & Management of Hot and Cold Water Services and Evaporative Cooling Systems (WH010) HSG274 Part 1CABWI Level 3 Diploma in Water Treatment or equivalentCity & Guilds Level 2 PlumbingDesirableC&G Risk Assessment for Legionella and Water Hygiene Control (WH004)C&G Accredited Responsible Person (Water)IOSH Managing SafelyCOSHH awareness, risk assessment training and permit to work experienceIf you're interested in this role, please send a copy of your CV to Dan Barber at CBW Staffing Solutions.TPBN1_UKTJ
