Job Description
Role : Systems EngineerLocation : Cheltenham (Minimum 3 day onsite per-week)Duration : 12 monthsRate : Up to £80/hr (umbrella only)Inside IR35About the RoleWe are seeking experienced Systems Engineers to support the design, development, integration, and verification of Electrical Power Distribution Systems for a leading engineering organisation. Opportunities are available across multiple programmes and at various stages of the product lifecycle.This role is ideal for engineers with experience in complex systems development who are looking to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace, automotive, or similarly regulated engineering projects.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements EngineeringSupport the capture, analysis, and documentation of system requirements, designs, and verification artefacts.Develop and maintain requirement baselines to support system development and integration.Assist with change control processes, including reporting and metrics generation.Perform configuration and change management activities.Integration & VerificationSupport system integration at subsystem and aircraft/platform level.Develop test procedures and analyse test results.Conduct hands-on testing and troubleshooting in laboratory environments.Work closely with software, hardware, customer, and engineering teams to resolve issues identified during testing.Essential Skills & ExperienceExperience supporting systems engineering development and/or verification activities.Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.Experience contributing to system architecture and design activities.Knowledge of systems verification and validation processes.Familiarity with some of the following: Requirements managementSystem design and architectureVerification and testing (manual or automated)Requirements traceabilityBaseline managementConfiguration and change controlDesirable ExperienceExperience within aerospace, automotive, defence, or other complex engineering environments.Understanding of electrical power distribution systems.Familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies.Knowledge of ARP4754A or similar regulated development standards.Awareness of hardware and/or software engineering disciplines.Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.Personal AttributesStrong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver to completion.Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.Proactive, positive, and adaptable approach.Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.To apply, please send your CV in the first instance.If you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website.TPBN1_UKTJ
