This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.What You'll Be DoingGeneral haulage operations using curtain-side trailersDelivering to RDCs, distribution centres and retail stores across the regionStore collections for delivery to factories and distribution centresOccasional loading and unloading of cages as part of store delivery activitiesCompleting daily vehicle checks and transport documentationMaintaining high standards of safety, compliance and professionalismWorking closely with the Transport Team to ensure efficient service deliveryAdhering to Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and Tachograph legislation at all timesPay RatesDay Shift RatesMonday to Friday Days - £14.60 per hourSaturday & Sunday Days - £17.60 per hourBank Holidays - £18.41 per hourPlus£5 tax-free meal allowance per shiftQualifications You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers)No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.Understand and able to comply with Drivers hours and WTD legislation.Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.Excellent communication skills.Additional Information As part of our drive to make Stobarta great place to work.
