Our client is a well-established, multi-disciplinary property consultancy delivering Building Surveying, Project Management and consultancy services across the education, public and private sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Stock Condition Surveyor to join their expanding team.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out stock condition surveys across a varied portfolio of predominantly education properties throughout Essex, with a mixture of home working, office attendance and regular site visits. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor looking to join a growing consultancy offering long-term career development.Stock Condition Surveyor Salary & BenefitsSalary £40,000 - £50,000 DOE (salary open to discussion for the right candidate)Hybrid workingBusiness mileage and expenses paidCompany pensionOngoing professional development and trainingCareer progression opportunitiesFull-time, permanent positionStock Condition Surveyor Job OverviewUndertake detailed stock condition surveys across education, public sector and commercial propertiesInspect internal and external building elements, identifying defects, deterioration and maintenance requirementsAssess the condition of building components and apply condition, priority and lifecycle ratingsProduce accurate survey reports, photographic records and recommendations for repair or replacementCollect and record survey data using tablets and specialist asset management softwareSupport planned maintenance programmes, lifecycle planning and capital investment reportingReview existing property information, drawings and asset registers before undertaking surveysEscalate significant defects, compliance concerns and health & safety issues where appropriateLiaise professionally with clients, site representatives and stakeholders throughout the survey processAttend the office as required for meetings, reporting and project coordinationTravel regularly to client sites throughout Essex, with occasional travel to surrounding areasStock Condition Surveyor Job RequirementsPrevious experience undertaking Stock Condition Surveys, Building Condition Surveys or similar property inspectionsRelevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Architectural Technology, Property or similar, or equivalent industry experienceGood understanding of building construction, common defects and planned maintenanceExperience producing clear technical reports and accurately recording survey dataCompetent using Microsoft Office and digital surveying or asset management softwareExcellent communication and organisational skillsFull UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel regularlyEnhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain oneDesirableExperience surveying education or wider public sector estatesExperience using specialist stock condition or asset management softwareKnowledge of planned maintenance and lifecycle reportingMembership of, or working towards, RICS or CIOBBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.We are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying you are granting us consent to process your data, contact you about the services we offer, and submit your CV for the role you have applied for.TPBN1_UKTJ
