Import customs clerk

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Import Customs Coordinator to join a growing Customs team based in Basildon.This role is ideal for someone with previous experience completing customs declarations using CDS and a strong understanding of UK customs regulations and import procedures.Key Responsibilities Complete import, export and cross-trade customs declarations.Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and customs requirements.Process customs entries accurately and within agreed timescales.Apply Import Duty and VAT correctly.Liaise with customers, customs authorities and internal departments.Support customs compliance and operational efficiency.Requirements Experience using CDS (Customs Declaration Service)Knowledge of UK customs procedures and complianceUnderstanding of commodity codes, UK Trade Tariff and PVAStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsCustoms, freight forwarding, logistics or brokerage experience preferredWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:30pmTPBN1_UKTJ
