Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.Job description As our new Area Sales Manager, Digital, you will be driving the adoption of Grundfos digital solutions across UK water utilities, combining technical expertise with commercial acumen to help customers solve their most pressing water infrastructure challenges through smart, connected technologies.In this case, specifically Yorkshire Water (80%) and United Utilities (20%). You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.Successful candidates should ideally be located withing this geographical region to access our customers more easily.What you will be doingAs a key part of the Water Utility Sales, UK team, you'll create impact by accelerating the digital transformation of the UK water sector by connecting utilities with intelligent pumping and water management solutions that reduce energy consumption, minimise leakage, and enhance operational performance.Your main responsibilities include:Develop and execute sales strategies for Grundfos digital and IoT-enabled solutions targeting water utility customers across the UKBuild and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at water utilities, including asset managers, operations leads, and digital transformation teamsDeliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations of digital monitoring, control, and optimisation solutionsCollaborate with application engineers and product specialists to design tailored digital solutions that address specific customer needsIdentify and qualify new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, industry events, and existing account developmentProvide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and go-to-market strategiesRequired profile What makes you a great fitAbove all, you are a technically confident sales professional with a strong understanding of the water utility sector and a genuine enthusiasm for digital innovation and smart water technologies.We would also imagine that you have:3+ years of technical sales experience in the water/wastewater industry or related infrastructure sectorSolid understanding of digital solutions such as SCADA, IoT sensors, remote monitoring, or predictive analytics in an industrial contextProven track record of managing complex B2B sales cycles with utility or public sector customersFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UKIt is a plus if you also have:Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification in a relevant disciplineExisting relationships within UK water utility companies (e.g., Thames Water, Anglian Water, Severn Trent)Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and familiarity with consultative selling methodologiesWhat we offer Why you will love working hereWe care!
