We're looking for an experienced Compliance Manager (Mechanical & Electrical) to lead the delivery of our M&E compliance strategy, ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant and fit for the future.Position: Compliance Manager - Mechanical & ElectricalSalary: £65038Location: 4040 Lakeside, BirminghamHours: 37 hours, Monday to FridayKey Responsibilities:Lead the delivery of Citizen's M&E compliance programme, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies and management plans in line with legislation and best practice.Lead, coach and develop a team of technical specialists.Oversee the repair, servicing, maintenance and replacement of M&E systems across approximately 24,000 homes.Manage compliance budgets, investment programmes and high-value contractor performance.Drive improvements to compliance systems and asset data, working closely with key stakeholders.Monitor compliance performance, manage risk and produce reports for senior leadership.Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors and regulators to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.Maintain accurate compliance records and contribute to the ongoing development of Citizen's compliance strategy.Qualifications and experience:We're looking for an experienced compliance professional with a strong background in mechanical and electrical compliance within housing, property or asset management.You'll have:A recognised qualification in either Gas (current Gas Safe registration) or Electrical Installation/Management.Knowledge of Legionella (HSG274), lift management and renewable technologies.A sound understanding of building infrastructure, including single and three-phase electrical systems.Experience managing high-value contracts, budgets and contractor performance.Strong report writing and presentation skills for senior stakeholders.Proven leadership experience, with the ability to develop high-performing teams.Excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive, organised approach to delivering safe, compliant services.Manager's Quote:A day can be fast paced dealing with building emergencies but also very maticulous in planning and programming servicing work and installs.
