Sweeptech solves waste management problems sustainably, through unique processes, innovation and technology.We provide a wide range of services, including waste consultancy, water and sludge treatment, hazardous and inert liquid waste removal, high pressure jetting, drainage maintenance and cleansing, CCTV surveys, road sweeping, septic waste removal and emergency flood response.Our team is committed to delivering excellent client service through efficiency, reliability, integrity and by offering the best value.The Role:You will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the hire desk for Road Sweeper operations across the South Coast region. This is a customer-focused role, ensuring effective scheduling, maximum fleet utilisation, and smooth coordination between customers and drivers. You will assist the deputy GM in completing the weekly payroll spreadsheet for depot drivers and ensuring payroll accuracy for the depot.Key Responsibilities:Manage incoming calls, emails, and booking requests in a professional and timely mannerSchedule and allocate Road Sweeper jobs to drivers, ensuring maximum fleet efficiencyUse the TeamLeaf operations system to plan, schedule, and update jobs in real timeComplete and manage the weekly payroll spreadsheet for depot drivers, ensuring accuracy and timely processingEnsure all drivers training qualifications and training agreements are updated regularlyOwnership of National Contract HSS and their system BrendaEffective collaboration with the National Hire DeskPrepare daily work schedules and provide drivers with clear, accurate job detailsConduct and record end-of-shift debriefs with driversProactively communicate with customers regarding bookings, delays, or issuesAccurately input and manage job data to support operational tracking and invoicingCheck and confirm completed works to assist the Finance team with invoicingMaintain strong communication with drivers to support smooth daily operationsSupport the General Manager and wider team as requiredDuties and Responsibilities:Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures at all timesEnsure compliance with relevant environmental legislationReport any accidents, incidents, or hazards in line with company proceduresSupport a proactive safety culture across operationsAssist with driver briefings and daily communications where requiredContribute to maintaining an organised, efficient, and professional hire desk functionAttend team meetings and contribute to operational improvementsCarry out additional duties as required by managementRequirements:Strong communication skills with the ability to manage customers confidentlyOrganised and methodical approach to workload and schedulingAbility to prioritise tasks and work under pressurePositive, proactive attitude with a team-focused approachGood level of computer literacy (including Microsoft Word and Excel)Ability to learn and effectively use the TeamLeaf systemPunctual, reliable, and able to meet deadlinesFlexible approach to working hours when requiredEssential Skills:High attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to work independently and use initiativeStrong customer service skillsGood understanding of operational processesDesirable Skills:Previous experience in a hire desk or transport planning roleExperience using scheduling or operations systems (TeamLeaf preferred)Knowledge of Road Sweeper operations (preferred but not essential)Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentSchedule:45 hours per weekMonday to FridayOur VisionAt Sweeptech, we are committed to building a respected and responsible environmental services businessone that supports cleaner communities, safer operations, and a more sustainable future.Our ambition is to be recognised not only for the quality of our service but for how we go about delivering itwith integrity, care, and a focus on continuous improvement.We are proud to have received independent national recognition for Environmental Leadership , Innovation and Technology , and Health and Safety Best Practice, being testament to the efforts of our people, the strength of our partnerships, and our commitment to doing things the right way.Our Core Values1.
