Role Title: Cloud Security Engineer\n
Duration: contract to run until 30/11/2026\n
Location: Knutsford. Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite\n
Rate: up to £598 p/d Umbrellainside IR35\n
Role purpose / summary\n
\nAs an experienced Security professional, you will be utilised to drive the future security of our cloud platforms. You will play a key role in working as part of a global team reviewing and evaluating cloud services from major cloud providers, identifying potential threats, and developing mitigations.\n

Primary Responsibilities\n

- Review and identify security challenges with cloud platform services \n
- Design, develop and deliver security controls for cloud platforms \n
- Work alongside infrastructure engineers to contribute to the design and delivery of cloud services. \n
- Act as security SME for cloud services \n
Standard Technical Skills & Competencies\n
\n
- \n
- Experience working in enterprise cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). \n
- Experience building cloud infrastructure and using cloud IaC tooling (Terraform, Cloudformation, BICEP) \n
- Experience in threat modelling, security reviews and testing. \n
- Proficiency in scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python and behaviour-driven design \n
- Strong familiarity with security standards, security controls, and cloud security tooling. \n
- Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes. \n
- Experience with CSPM/SSPM tooling and use \n
- Container knowledge, particularly in Kubernetes. \n
- Experience with Linux operating systems. \n
- Experience with IaC policy-as-code security tools - Terraform Sentinel, Wiz, etc. \n
- Strong understanding of cryptography, modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, networking, and enterprise security architectures. \n
Desirable:\n
\n
- \n
- Previous experience in the financial/regulated sector \n
- Bachelor's degree, or higher, in a related discipline (or equivalent experience) \n
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies. \n
