HGV Class 1 Driver

Class 1 HGV Driver Tipper / Tramping (UK Wide)

We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver in Saffron Walden for tramping work, delivering loads across the UK. Tipper experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

Working Pattern:

  Monday to Friday Tramping

\n
• \n

  Flexible Monday start time (from 6:00am)

\n
• \n

  23 drops per day

\n
• \n

  Nationwide UK deliveries

\n

The Role:

\n
• \n

  Initial collections often involve stone (tipper-style work)

\n
• \n

  General haulage including stone, rocks, hay, food products, sugar dough, etc.

\n
• \n

  Delivering and collecting loads as required

\n
• \n

  Trailer hygiene is critical trailers must be swept and cleaned after drops

\n
• \n

  Strict no cross-contamination procedures must be followed

\n

Pay & Benefits:

\n
• \n

  Base Salary: £39,000 per year but drivers on average coming out with £47,000 - £50,000

\n
• \n

  Night out allowance: £25 per night

\n
• \n

  Bonus scheme: Drivers receive 10% profit on any earnings the truck makes over £2,500

\n
• \n

  Saturday overtime available at a premium rate (details to be confirmed)

\n

Requirements:

\n
• \n

  Class 1 (C+E) licence

\n
• \n

  No new passes (DNI)

\n
• \n

  Over 25 years old

\n
• \n

  Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience (2 years preferred)

\n
• \n

  Professional, reliable, and able to work independently

\n

Training & Start Process:

\n
• \n

  Interviews held first

\n
• \n

  Full training provided, including training days before going solo

\n
