People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established drinks distributor operating across the Home Counties and Greater London, for experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers

\n

This role is based out of the Aylesbury depots and offers a great opportunity to join a friendly, well-run business delivering drinks to pubs, bars, restaurants, and hotels.

\n

You will be working a 4-day week (Tuesday to Friday), giving you a strong work-life balance alongside a stable, long-term position.

\n

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you'll be out on the road, meeting customers, and making sure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard of service.

\n

This role would suit applicants who have worked in a role as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

\n

Shifts:

\n

• Tuesday – Friday (40 Hours a week)
\n • Start Time: From 5:00am (depending on route)
\n • Overtime: Regularly available

\n

Pay Rate:

\n

£38,500 per annum

\n

Day to Day Duties:

\n

As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will be responsible for delivering drinks products to hospitality venues across the region.

\n

• Working closely with a driver's mate who will support you with deliveries, help handle goods, and assist on-site to ensure drops are completed safely and efficiently
\n • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and safe loading of goods
\n • Following delivery schedules and route planning
\n • Delivering kegs, cases, and bottles safely and efficiently
\n • Completing delivery paperwork, returns, and collections accurately
\n • Returning empties such as kegs, cases, and gas bottles
\n • Working safely at all times, including manual handling and cellar deliveries
\n • Maintaining a smart and professional appearance in uniform

\n

Essential Skills:

\n

As an HGV Class 2 Driver you will need:

\n

• A valid UK Category C licence
\n • A minimum of two years' experience driving Category C vehicles
\n • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
\n • A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
\n • A good level of spoken and written English
\n • Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
\n • A good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
\n • Strong communication skills
\n • A positive, can-do attitude
\n • Good communication and customer service skills
\n • Reliability and punctuality
\n • Ability to work well as part of a team
\n • A reasonable level of physical fitness (this is a manual role)
\n • A professional and respectful approach to work

\n

Desirable Experience:

\n

• Experience driving commercial vehicles
\n • Previous multi-drop delivery experience

\n

Training:

\n

• Driver's assessment must be completed
\n • A paid induction will follow successful assessment

\n
