We are seeking a skilled Metal & Stainless Steel Welder Fabricator to join our team, supporting projects within the water industry. You will be working alongside mechanical and civil engineering teams to fabricate and assemble high-quality components used in water infrastructure and treatment systems.
\nWorking Hours & Overtime
\n- \n
- Standard working hours: 07 00, with a 1-hour unpaid break \n
- Weekday hours are paid at the standard hourly rate \n
- Overtime is typically available to meet project demands \n
- Weekend shifts are paid at time and a half (£28.50 per hour) \n
- Minimum 40 hours per week (average 48 hours per week) \n
Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Fabricate and weld mild steel and stainless steel components to engineering drawings and specifications \n
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard \n
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and blueprints \n
- Assemble fabricated parts for installation in water industry projects \n
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and industry standards \n
- Carry out inspections and basic quality checks on completed work \n
- Collaborate with mechanical and civil engineers to meet project requirements \n
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Proven experience as a welder fabricator, particularly with stainless steel \n
- Strong MIG and TIG welding skills \n
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings \n
- Experience working on infrastructure, water industry, or similar engineering projects (preferred) \n
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations \n
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team \n
Desirable Skills
\n- \n
- Previous experience in the water or utilities sector \n
- Welding certifications (e.g., coded welding) \n
- Experience with site installation work \n
