Our client, a well-established and highly respected freight forwarding business based in Liverpool, is seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join their busy operations team on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with strong ocean import experience to join a successful and growing organisation known for delivering exceptional customer service and logistics solutions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery
\n
• Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers
\n
• Monitoring shipment milestones and proactively updating customers
\n
• Ensuring all import documentation is accurate and compliant
\n
• Processing customs-related information and coordinating clearance activities
\n
• Raising files, invoicing, and maintaining accurate operational records
\n
• Resolving shipment issues and providing effective customer support
\n
• Working closely with internal departments to ensure service delivery targets are met
\n

Requirements

\n
• Previous experience within freight forwarding, specifically ocean imports
\n
• Strong understanding of end-to-end import processes
\n
• Experience liaising with shipping lines, agents, and customs authorities
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
\n
• Good working knowledge of freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment
\n
